After 100 minutes the Fighting Saints (22-0-1) advanced in a shootout to: take their first sectional title since 2014; end St. Charles North's sectional streak at four; and sweep all three matches against their crosstown rival this season. McKenna Gahagan and Hannah Miller's tallies were matched by no. 10 St. Charles North (14-5-2). With the title on the line, Megan Srenianski scored into the left side of the net for the game-winner. Keeper Sophia Iori made two saves to earn the shutout.
