PepsiCo Showdown quarterfinals

(2) Wheaton Academy 2, (7) New Trier 2 (WA wins PKs 5-4)
The Warriors made all their penalty kicks and defeated New Trier on Friday to advance to the tournament semis against sixth-seeded Libertyville at noon Saturday at the Lyons Soccer Complex.

Ty Seager had a goal and an assist in the win. Jacob Kapitaniuk scored the second goal that gave Wheaton Academy a 2-0 lead. Isaac Athony contributed an assist. The game was tied 0-0 when it was suspended in the first half due to weather Thursday and was resumed at the stopping point Friday.

Wheaton Academy is now 9-0-1 on the year.
