Aaron Cacucciolo-Forbes made nine saves, but the Storm (0-2-3, 0-1-0) couldn't find the offense to fight off the Bison.

Crystal Lake South 2, Palatine 1

Sam Bahnfleth scored the game-winner with help from Brendan Lewis and Michal Dejworek after Palatine tied the game in the second half.  Tom Coughlin scored unassisted to open the scoring. The win puts the Gators (4-0-0), who are ranked 25th in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, in the championship match at 11:15 a.m. Saturday. Palatine dropped to 1-2-0 with the loss.




Nonconference

Belvidere 5, Genoa-Kingston 3

The Cogs dropped their first match of the year against their Class AA visitors. Eagan Reams, Diego Espinoza and Ben Younker (PK) scored for Genoa-Kingston (6-1-0).

Oak Forest 7, Peotone 2
Ian Plancarte scored four times, Issa Deifallah twice and Alex Stacy once to improve the Bengals record to 2-1-0.



Timothy 2, Nazareth 2 
Timothy fought back from a two-goal halftime deficit to salvage the draw. Ethan Lemkuil and Cam Baker scored the goals, and Hendrik DeVries contributed the assists.
