Gabe Jurado had a hat-trick for the second-consecutive game to lead the Panthers (3-0-0) to a 3-2 victory over Fenton at Addison Trail. Emmanuel Castanon (assist) and Ode Emena (two assists) each played well in the midfield. Jurado scored the game-winner in the 72nd minute. The Panthers are in action Tuesday against Addison Trail for the right to advance to the tournament championship Saturday. Between those games, they will test their mettle against perennial powerhouse Morton at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at home.

Cuyahoga Valley (Ohio) 2, Wheaton Academy 1
Freshman Evan Eckert's 42nd-minute and first varsity goal, assisted by senior Logan Finnegan, tied the match but the visitors tallied 19 minutes later for the win. Goalkeeper Andrew Hoekstra made two saves for the 50th-ranked Warriors (1-1-1), who open their Metro Suburban Conference Blue Division slate against Timothy at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at home.
