Crystal Lake South 6, Grant 2

After falling behind 1-0, the visiting Gators scored six-straight goals to roll in their season opener. Grant took the lead on a Daniel Talavera tally at 11 minutes. Then Crystal Lake South junior forward Alex Canfield got to work. He tied the game with the help of freshman Michal Dejworek and junior Colton Weidner at 23 minutes. Canfield's assist to senior mid Ryan Coughlin at 29 minutes gave the visitors the halftime lead. Crystal Lake South (1-0-0) saw Canfield's scoring stretch end after he assisted junior mid Sabien Raymond and scored off a helper from senior defender Andrew Edge. Ryan Coughlin (senior defender Nick Langdon assist) and Dejworek (Edge) completed the CLS scoring. Grant posted its final goal with a second left in the contest. The Gators get right back to work with their home opener Tuesday vs. Hononegah.
