Class 3A sectional semifinals

Hoffman Estates Sectional

St. Charles North 1, Batavia 0
Gia Wahlberg's 34th-minute goal off a Hailey Rydberg helper led the second-ranked North Stars (18-0-3) past no. 15
and third-seeded Batavia (14-4-2). Sami Sample made 2 saves for the shutout. Second-seeded St. Charles North meets top-seed Geneva (21-1-1) in the final of the Hoffman Estates Sectional at 6 p.m. Friday. The teams, who tied for the title in the Upstate Eight Conference River Division, played to a 0-0 tie May 1 at Geneva.



Warren Sectional

Warren 3, Libertyville 1 (2 OT)

The sixth-ranked Blue Devils (21-1-2) scored a goal in each of the 10-minute overtime periods to post the win and extend its unbeaten streak to 16 games. Warren received a brace from sophomore midfielder Courtney Chomko and a goal and an assist from senior defender Natalie McNally. Alliyah Parker added an assist, and goalkeeper Skylar Reilly made 4 saves. The second-seed improved to 21-1-2 and will face top-ranked and no. 1-seeded Barrington (24-1-0) in the final at 7 p.m. Friday.



Class AA sectional semifinals

Wheaton Academy Sectional
Wheaton Academy 7, Payton 2

The top-seeded and host Warriors won for the 18th time in 23 games this season behind goals from  Sophie Lindquist, Erin Teevans, Gretchen Pearson, A.C. Hardy, Izzy McNally, Becca Smith and Sarah Brcka. Wheaton Academy welcomes second-seeded Latin (17-1-1) to West Chicago for the sectional title at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Class A supersectionals

Concordia University Chicago Supersectional

IC Catholic Prep 1, University (Chicago) 0

Grace Fuller scored the game winner in the 28th minute, and Rochelle Spizzirri made 5 Saves to propel the Lady Knights (21-6-0) into the Final Four. IC will aim for an 11th-straight win when it meets 22-1-1 Notre Dame, of Quincy, in the 7 p.m. semifinal at North Central College in Naperville.
