Naperville Central 3, Waubonsie Valley 1
The hosts scored in the fifth minute and held the lead for 21 minutes before Naperville Central (7-1-3, 5-0-2 DVC) forged the winning path. Molly O'Rear tied the game with 18:52 left in the first period off a Megan Norkett assist. Sophia Skoubis (Ella Burke assist) gave Naperville Central the lead 11:51 before halftime. Sullivan Schubel (O'Rear) provided insurance in the 76th minute. Naperville Central, which is ranked fifth in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25 and currently sports an eight-game unbeaten streak, holds a one-point lead over no. 8 Naperville North in the league standings with a game in hand.



West Suburban Conference Gold Division

Willowbrook 4, Hinsdale South 2

The Warriors (7-2-0, 6-2-0) won their fifth-straight match behind braces from Grace Tumilty and Erin Fitzgibbon.



Nonconference

Deerfield 4, Grayslake Central 2
The visiting Warriors (9-5-1) spotted the Knights an early goal before storming back with four unanswered. Katie Morgan broke up a Knights corner kick, carried the ball forward, and found Holly Deutsch, whose pass split the defense for Riley Schimanski to finish on a breakaway at 19:05. Deutsch beat two defenders and got to the end line for a cross to Ally Linn, who made no mistake at the back post at 35:40.  Morgan sprang Deutsch down the line, where she crossed for Emily Fox, whose shot hit the post but was put away by Schimanski at 47:48. Deutsch put the cherry on top of Deerfield's fifth-straight win when she curled a corner kick into the goal at 52:11. Grayslake Central converted a PK at 75:13 to conclude the scoring.

Neuqua Valley 3, Wheaton Academy 2
Visiting Neuqua Valley (4-7-1) ended a three-game winless streak (0-2-1) with a late goal. Wheaton Academy (8-4-0) fought back from two one-goal deficits with second half goals from Emily Setran (Kelly Bickhart assist) and Amy Alexander (Eva DeSouza). Goalkeeper Sara Swoboda made eight saves. The Warriors resume play with a home Metro Suburban Conference matchup against Aurora Central Catholic at 7 p.m. Thursday.

St. Charles East 2, Burlington Central 0
McKenna Gahagan scored a goal in each half as the top-ranked Fighting Saints (14-0-0, 10-0-0) remained untouchable. Ashley Stellon and Lindsey Rzeszutko provided helpers. Keeper Emma Tallitsch made one save for the shutout.

St. Charles North 1, Naperville North 0
The 25th-ranked North Stars (8-3-2) upset the no. 8 Huskies (6-2-1) on sophomore Bella Najera's 77th-minute goal. Senior Makenna Collins earned the assist. Soph keeper Kara Claussner made 13 saves for the road clean-sheet. St. Charles North has now won sixth-straight matches.
