North Suburban Conference

Lake Zurich 4, Warren 0
Goalkeeper Sarah Barbosa made 12 saves but the Blue Devils (4-8-1, 0-3-1) fell for the fourth-straight time. Lake Zurich (6-0-3, 3-0-0) continued on its unbeaten streak.

Nonconference

Deerfield 4, Northside 0
The 18th-ranked Warriors controlled the game from the opening whistle and amassed an amazing 43 shots at goal. After Northside's starting keeper was injured early, a field player went in goal and recorded 21 saves. Chloe Cappas finally broke through for the Warriors when she took a pass from Haley Emory, spun in the box, and beat the keeper to the far post. Malori Killoren made it 2-0 in the 38th minute on an assist from Sydney Burns. Killoren got her second when Riley Halpern’s long throw found Emory, who got it to Killoren in space in the 48th minute. Killoren closed out the scoring when she recorded her hat-trick in the 60th minute off a pass from Shayna Wood. Rachel Levin had a number of quality chances for the Warriors, including hitting both the crossbar and the post on successive shots in a 2-second span in the second half. The Warriors are now 12-2-1 and will compete in the Glenbrook Cup this weekend.
