Tawny Carroll and Alondra Blanco returned the favor and scored on each other's goal in the Sabres' tournament-opening victory over their host.

Goalkeeper Yasmine Resendiz made 3 saves for Streamwood (5-7).


Naperville Invitational

Benet 2, Boylan 1 (OT)
The Redwings rebounded from a 2-0 loss against No. 1 New Trier, their first of the season, with the win.

Jacquie Kaufman scored a goal and added an assist on Kate Hennessey's game-winner in overtime to lead Benet (12-1-1). Ellie Bumpus added an assist for the Redwings, who finished 1-1 in Group E pool play at Barrington. 
 
Naperville Central 2, Downers Grove South 0
The Redhawks ended a 3-game losing streak with the victory.

Goals from Kirsten Dorgan (Kayla Burke assist) and Meredith Tunney (Taylor Stenmark) paced the homestanding Redhawks (8-4-1, 1-1-0) in their Pool A opener. Kinzly Dressler recorded two saves for the shutout. 


Wheaton North 3, Geneva 0
Lexi Pelafas put two in the net and Morghin Klein the other to propel the host Falcons. 



Wheaton North's 2-0 Group H record, which includes a win over Hinsdale Central in PKs, advances the squad to the quarterfinals. 

Freshman keeper Zoe Welsh made four saves in the shutout for the winners, who improved to 9-1-2 on the season.
