Knights Invitational at Prospect

Prospect 1, South Elgin 0
South Elgin keeper Karissa Cruz made seven saves in the narrow defeat for the Storm (5-4-2). South Elgin will meet Huntley in a consolation semifinal Sunday. It will follow with a seventh place or consolation championship match.




Naperville Intational

Group A

Naperville Central 5, Oswego 1
The Redhawks (11-0-0), ranked second in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, won the pool and clinched a quarterfinal berth. Megan Norkett and Molly O'Rear led the offense with a brace apiece. Ella Burke collected a goal and assist, and Sam Sharpe dished out two helpers. Keeper Abbey O’Connor made three saves and allowed only a PK. Next up, Naperville Central hosts the rescheduled cross-town Derby against Naperville North at 7 p.m. Monday.
 

Group B

St. Charles North 1, Benet 1 (SCN wins 5-4)
Mariana Pinto scored for no. 18 Benet (9-4-0) against the ninth-ranked North Stars.

 
Group F

St. Charles East 3, Hinsdale Central 0
The no. 10 Fighting Saints (13-2-0) scored three times in the last eight minutes to win the pool and advance. Ella Stehman led the way with a brace and helper. Mia Raschke scored and assisted, and Grace Williams chipped in with a scoring pass. Sidney Lazenby made three saves for the shutout for the Saints, who extended their winning streak to eight games.
