Mariana Pinto scored for no. 11 Benet (1-1-0), but it wasn't enough against the 30th-ranked Mustangs. 



Windy City Ram Classic

Morton 4, Tinley Park 0

The Mustangs (2-0-0) advanced to the quarterfinals behind a brace from Carisma Rosales. Aaliyah Leanos added a goal and assist. Andrea Aguirre tallied a goal, and Esmeralda Bautista chipped in with an assist. Morton will play at Lincoln-Way East at 10:30 a.m. Saturday for a semifinal berth in the 32-team tourney.

Deerfield 7, Round Lake 0
The no. 41 Warriors (3-0-0) got two goals apiece from seniors Riley Schimanski and Holly Deutsch and single tallies from Emily Fox, Maggie Culver, and Katie Denison to roll to the road win. Keeper Lauren Gottlieb posted her third clean sheet of the season for Deerfield.

St. Charles East 3, Boylan 1
Grace Williams had a brace to lead the no. 18 Fighting Saints (2-0-0). Yazmin Martinez's unassisted goal gave St. Charles East a 2-0 halftime lead. Libby Thomas and 
Sophia Perugini recorded assists. Sophia Iori (40 minutes, 2 saves, 0 goals) and Sidney Lazenby split the win. 


Timothy 2, Wheaton Academy 1
Senior Emily Setran collected the team's first goal of the season, but the no. 29 Warriors (0-2-0) couldn't avoid falling to the 31st-ranked Trojans. Wheaton Academy goalkeeper Sara Swoboda made five saves in the match. The Warriors get some time to regroup before they host Antioch at 7 p.m. March 22.
