Renato Avendano contributed a brace as the Fighting Saints, ranked 17th in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, rolled to their 10th shutout win of the season. Connor King added a goal and two assists for the winners. Anthony Mendoza delivered a goal and assist, and Sam Wade, Geoff Unterberg and Jake Maslowski contributed single tallies. Tyler Filbert, Alex Mancera and Josh Ruiz provided helpers. Goalkeepers Jack Settle (60 minutes, 5 saves) and Josh Kennedy (save) shared the win for St. Charles East (12-1-2).

Wheaton Academy 9, Aurora Central 0

The Warriors concluded Homecoming week with a 9-0 win over Aurora Central in front of a packed stadium. Logan Finnegan and Jack Liechty led the way with two goals apiece. Kyle Holwerda, Luke Froese, Daniel Rychenkov (assist), Allen Rodriguez, and Alex Howland (assist) added to the final score. Giovanni Nicoski, Sam Froslid and Justin Riddle contributed assists. Goalkeepers Andrew Hoekstra and Cole Andrews each made for a clean-sheet. Wheaton Academy is 10-3-2 and will participate in the Warstang Invitational next week. The first match is against Lemont at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Waubonsie Valley.
