Napervlle North 3, Neuqua Valley 0

Goals from Chris Sullivan, Will Ritzmann and Jack Bromagen and two assists from Jack Barry brought the top-seeded Huskies (18-2-3) within one step of the state finals. Colin Iverson also added an assist for Naperville North, the third-ranked team in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25. Tommy Welch recorded the shutout for the Huskies, who face top-ranked Morton (24-0-1) in the Lewis University Supersectional at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Neuqua Valley finished its season at 13-6-4.


Class 2A

St. Francis Sectional

Benet 1, Fenton  0

Ben Kelly's goal in the 68th minute allowed top-seeded and 18th-ranked Benet (19-1-2) to oust upset-minded Fenton (9-11-3). Redwings keeper Brian Gould made five saves for the shutout. The winner's face Notre Dame (Quincy) at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Sterling Supersectional for a berth in the Class 2A state finals.
