Hampshire Sectional

Streamwood 1, Dundee-Crown 0
Alex Chavez converted a penalty kick in the 76th minute to give the Sabres (17-4-3) the win. Hector Alfaro made three saves to earn the shutout. Steamwood, ranked 23rd in the final Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, advances top play no. 8 and top-seeded Elgin in the final at 5 p.m. Friday. The game is a rematch of an Upstate Eight Conference game Sept. 19 at Elgin that ended in a 2-2 tie. 



Class AA sectional semifinal

Harvard Sectional

Crystal Lake South 3, Boylan 1
The top-seeded Gators (18-2-3) built a 3-0 lead and punched their ticket to the final. Alex Canfield scored a first half brace, and Jack Wruck completed the scoring in the second half for 18th-ranked Crystal Lake South. Ryan Coughlin and Nick Langdon contributed assists. Keeper Matt McCaleb made three saves for the win. Third-seeded Boylan's score came from John Coll off a Colin Beatty helper. The Titans ended their season 16-5-3. Crystal Lake South meets upset-minded three-seed Vernon Hills (10-8-4) for the title at 5 p.m. Saturday.
