Great River Classic at Burlington, Ia.
Heartland Lodge bracket

Glenbard North 2, Normal 1
The Panthers opened the scoring in the first half when Christian Escobedo finished a cross from Diego Chicas. Normal scored the equalizer in the 75th minute when it put away the rebound after a fine Stavros Veremis save. One minute later a Panther was pulled down at midfield, and Glenbard North received a free kick. Chris Arroyo sent a great ball into the box that resulted in an own-goal. The Panthers will play Middleton (Wis.) at 10:15 a.m. in the winners bracket semifinals Saturday.

Nonconference

Libertyville 1, Carmel 0
The Wildcats, ranked 22nd in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, earned the win thanks to a goal from Ryan Losh and an assist from Andrew Sorenson. The result ended host Carmel's four-game winning streak.
