Chicagoland Soccer Top 25

By Patrick Z. McGavin

Wheaton Academy gets back to the top of the hill after formerly top-ranked Hinsdale Central slips a spot after playing Notre Dame (Peoria) to a scoreless draw and losing 4-0 to Marquette U. High (Wis.). Wheaton Academy and Morton are the top two seeds at the PepsiCo Showdown.

Unbeaten Glenbard North (5-0) roars into the top five after an impressive 3-1 victory over Naperville Central. The Panthers are now the top challenger to Naperville North in the DuPage Valley Conference.

Warren takes a step up into the top 10 after dominating the field at the Indian Trail tournament in Kenosha, Wis.

Another major mover in the poll and team to watch is Evanston. The Wildkits are unscored upon in their last eight games and have yielded just two goals on the year.

Through games of September 12.
