All-stater Rebecca Schulenburg enjoyed a career day with five goals and three assists. Annika Vandervelde produced a brace and one assist, and Gianna Hughes and Portia Noensie connected once each. Lorenna Davis chipped in with two assiss and Elly Andrews produced a solo helper. Goalkeepers Noelle Niekamp and Calla Brust shared the shutout. The Warriors improved to 2-0-3 and 1-0-0. Next up is a nonconference match at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at West Chicago.

Nevaeh Gyurko's brace built a 2-0 first half lead, but the Storm couldn't hang on in the opening game of Group 3 play. Callie Miller earned an assist for South Elgin, which lost its second-straight match after starting the season with six wins.
