After falling to eventual champion Bolingbrook in the semifinals of the Plainfield Classic on Saturday (Sept. 16), the Wildcats bounced back to tie the very same Raiders (6-0-3), who jumped into the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25 this week at no. 17. Lachlan Ladd led the way for Waubonsie Valley on Monday with a goal and assist. Lucas Garcia added a goal, and Cade Valek assisted the first goal. "A very fun game to watch," said Warriors coach Jose Garcia. "Great effort by all our players." Waubonsie Valley (3-6-4) finishes its grueling grind of six games in nine days with a trip to DuPage Valley Conference foe DeKalb at 6:30 tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 19). After that Waubonsie Valley gets a break, and will train up to a home match against league rival Neuqua Valley on Sept. 26.
