Glenbard North 5, Proviso East 1
After the first 20 minutes when each team generated quality chances, Glenbard North broke the ice. Off a free kick just outside the Glenbard North box, goalkeeper Danny Noval sent a ball over the backline that outside back Ayan Sheikh was able to cross and Jorge Roman headed it home for the 1-0 lead. Marcos Hernandez and Gavin VanTichelt foolowed with goals to give Glenbard North a 3-0 halftime lead. The Panthers (4-4-1) continued their scoring run in the second half with goals from Christian Escobedo and VanTichelt. Proviso East scored the final goal on a highlight-reel free kick from about 25 yards. Glenbard North resumes action vs.Minooka in the opening round of the Body Armor event Saturday at Olympic Park in Schaumburg.

South Elgin 1, Jacobs 0
The Storm broke into the win column on Ashton Kerrigan's first half goal. Jack Schmidtke provided the assist. Keeper Aaron Cacucciolo made seven saves to earn South Elgin's second shutout of the season. Next up for the Storm (1-4-2) is a Saturdy meeting with Nazareth in the Body Armor event at Olympic Park in Schaumburg.
