Nonconference

Hinsdale Central 4, Metea Valley 1
Chicagoland Soccer All-Stater Luca Davies led the way with a hat-trick for the red-hot Red Devils. Martin Montoya added a goal and Robbie Rocque and Balys Zamalaitis contributed assists. Hinsdale has gone unbeaten in its last five matches while outscoring its opponents 22-3. With the hat-trick, Davies (9 goals this season) continued to climb in the school record books. He moved into a  seventh place tie in points at 61 points with Dan Fremer, and equalled Christian Meyer and Bryan Loebig  for fifth in goals with 28. "Coach Robinson is among the best around in prepping his teams to play at a high level. It's the very reason we want to play them annually," said Hinsdale Central coach Mike Wiggins. "When they got back into the game at 2-1, the concern was that they were getting confidence at just the right time. Credit to our guys in the response to get it to 3-1 (Montoya goal), before finally getting the final goal. Defensively we stayed together well, stayed with the tactics and forced play in our favor." Hinsdale Central (5-1-1) which is ranked 25th in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, travels to Northfield on Saturday for a big match against no. 5 New Trier.

Morton 2, Riverside-Brookfield 1
Jonathan Almaguer played the hero for the second-ranked Mustangs (5-0-0) with a free kick game-winner with 47 seconds left. Alexis Meza scored the opening goal in Riverside.
