Oswego 5, South Elgin 2
The Storm were deadlocked at 1-1 at halftime, but Oswego proved to be too much in the second half. Ryan Nguyen (Jack Schmidtke assist) and Quentin Albert (PK) scored for South Elgin (0-4-1). Keeper Aidan Majer allowed a PK goal and made one save in 40 minutes of work. Glenbard East is the site for the Storm’s conference opener Wednesday.

Glenbard North 8 Proviso West 4 (fifth place)
The Panthers opened the game in a hurry after Jorge Roman scored two goals in the first 2 minutes, 54 seconds. Marco Galto, Christian Escobedo and Keith Thumutok followed with tallies to give the Panthers a 5-0 halftime lead. Thumutok and Galto each finished off another early in the second half off great crosses.  Proviso West pulled four goals back on two breakaways and two PKs before Roman finished off his hat-trick off a great cross by Thumutok. Next up for the Panthers is their home-opener Tuesday against defending DuKane Conference champion St. Charles East at 6:30 p.m.
