Warren keeper Emma Megerle made five saves in the loss. "While the result isn't exactly what we were looking for, I feel like we took some steps in the right direction today," said coach Ryan McCabe. "We continue to learn and improve." Warren will play on Sunday in the Body Armor event against Minooka at the Lyons Soccer Complex.


Joe Welk Invitational

PROSPECT 1, South Elgin 0
The Storm (5-5-1) fell to the tourney hosts. Keeper Karissa Cruz stopped nine shots. South Elgin jumps right back into action in the consolation semifinals against University (Normal) at 9:30 a.m. Saturday on the Prospect JV field.


Naperville Invitational

Group C at Naperville North

Benet 3, Oswego 0
Chloe Sentman, Anna Casmere and Eleanor Mahan scored for the Redwings (10-1-0). Keira Petrucelli had two assists, and Gabi DiMatteo added one. Shannon Clark earned the shutout for Benet, which is ranked 12th in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25.

MORTON 3, East Aurora 2
Juniors Carisma Rosales (2 goals, assist) and Aaliyah Leanos (goal, 2 assists) took care of the scoring on Senior Night. The Mustangs own a four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1).
